And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. ...

What Do We Know?

By Rev. Dean Beaty 7/22/12

Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith;

and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works,

lest any man should boast.” (KJV)

There is no date that we can mark on which our Lord will come.

But yet we have that “blessed hope” that He will call us home.

There is a date fixed in God’s mind that is steadfast and sure.

And so God calls the faithful to evermore endure.

On earth we are called pilgrims, for it’s not our final rest.

And yet we’re called to faithfulness to live here at our best.

Our lives are to bring glory to Christ our Lord and King.

And so of what God gives us, to Him we are to bring.

The greatest love that we can know was God’s one and only Son.

The greatest demonstration was the victory that Christ won.

The greatest gift that Jesus gives, is His Spirit in our heart,

Along with this great promise, that we shall never part.

“I will never leave thee nor yet forsake thee here.”

That makes salvation permanent. How could it be more clear?

Let your light be burning to show the world “The Way.”

In faith we wait and watch for Him for Christ could come today.

Titus 2:12-14 “Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts,

we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great

God and our Savior Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” (KJV)

In times of trouble, may the LORD respond to your cry. May the God of Israel keep you safe from all harm. May He send you help from His sanctuary and strengthen you from Jerusalem. May He remember all your gifts and look favorably on your burnt offerings. May He grant your heart's desire and fulfill all your plans. May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory, flying banners to honor our God. May the LORD answer all your prayers.
